Christine Hager is “Manager of the Year 2020”

According to the prominent jury, the retail real estate specialist was presented with the award for two reasons: for her outstanding achievements as part of the redos management team and her excellent work as chairwoman of the German Council of Shopping Places, which she has been presiding over since 2018. Under her chairwomanship, she made the Council future-proof, for example with her initiatives during the corona crisis as well as the innovation conference Reboot in Berlin, which took place for the very first time in 2020.

The communication consultancy Feldhoff & Cie, in collaboration with its partners, has been presenting the “Manager of the Year” award at the annual real estate summit WOMEN since 2014 to honor female top decision-makers of the real estate industry. Since this year’s summit could not take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Christine Hager received the award on November 18. It was presented by Simone Ulmer and Paul Jörg Feldhoff of Feldhoff & Cie live in Düsseldorf.

Simone Ulmer, partner at Feldhoff & Cie and member of the jury says, “It was very important to us to present the award, even without a face-to-face event. Especially in these extraordinary times and because of the ongoing diversity discussions, it is of the utmost importance to honor our industry’s outstanding decision-makers. I have known Christine Hager for many years and I believe she is an excellent winner.”

Christine Hager is one of the best known and influential managers of the retail real estate industry. She has over 20 years of experience in this segment. At redos, Christine Hager is currently responsible for key account management for partners from the shopping center segment as well as the selection, management, and monitoring of external center management service providers. She also coordinates the interface between leasing, marketing, and on-site management in development.

However, Christine Hager’s pioneering activities go even beyond her management position at redo: she has been the chairwoman of the German Council of Shopping Places since September 2018 (of which she has been a board member since 2014), she has a seat on the retail committee of ZIA Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss e.V., and was also chairwoman of Frauen in der Immobilienwirtschaft e.V. from 2013 until 2017.
