Camden Market to host the UK’s first public live series of music events post lockdown

LabTech, owner of Camden Market, has announced Camden Market is set to host the UK’s first public live series of music events since the lockdown, with eight ticketed, free open-air weekend performances commencing from Saturday 25 July – 16 August, under the banner ‘Camden Unlocked’.

A celebration of the capital partially reopening, Camden Market has appointed Xfm founder and NME Radio station manager Sammy Jacob and live agent Neil O’Brien to produce the eclectic series of live events at the Stables Market Amphitheatre.

Following the reopening Camden Market on 1 June, traders and visitors continue to adhere to government guidelines and social distancing will be implemented with the wearing of facemasks encouraged throughout open-air programme of free events.

A single act will perform each Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon, with the programme featuring semi-acoustic sets from Miles Kane, Shaun Escoffery, Stone Foundation, Sons of Pitches, Mae Muller, Newton Faulkner and The Puppini Sisters, along with DJ sets by Don Letts and Solar Radio.

Health and safety will be paramount, with social distancing being implemented and the wearing of facemasks encouraged. There will also be hand sanitiser dispensers available throughout the area.

Free Ticket entry will be limited to 150 per day, on a first come first served basis via camdenmarket.com/unlocked, where visitors will be provided with further information including ticket registration details.
