The award was made following a 36 month assessment of the project and highlighted the following factors as key elements:
– support of the local economy, creation of new jobs
– creation of green infrastructure
– air quality monitoring and evaluation during the whole construction process (inclusive of a microclimate study)
– transportation upgrades – high quality bike infrastructure and more
The scheme, which enjoys a unique green roof with public gardens, is the first construction project to receive this certification in Slovakia. Congratulations to all involved. The project is currently on site and due to open in August 2021.
