This year’s ACSP congress revolves around the highly relevant theme: “Experience and the 15-Minute City.” The concept combines two essential urban goals: enhancing the attractiveness and dwell time in urban areas through experience and entertainment, while also ensuring that everything is accessible within a 15-minute walk or bike ride—minimizing traffic and promoting sustainable city living.
The organization is excited to welcome none other than Professor Carlos Moreno, the visionary behind the 15-minute city concept. In his keynote, he will explain the foundations of his idea and why Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo is putting it into practice.
Following his keynote, Reinhard Winiwarter will contextualize Moreno’s ideas for Vienna. He will be joined by Clemens Horak, Head of Urban Development and Planning for the City of Vienna.
Adding further perspective, futurist and retail strategist Stefan Jung will discuss the concept from a retail point of view, and Ingmar Behrens will present insights from a recent EHI study from Germany.
But theory is only part of the story. The audience will also hear from practitioners who are shaping this vision on the ground:
- Marc Blum, ECE
- Oliver Schaffer, Vrei
- Matthias Clostermann (invited)
Sasa Schwarzjirg will guide through the program as moderator.
