ACROSS AND FIBA’S YURDAER KAHRAMAN CALL FOR DONATIONS FOR EARTHQUAKES IN TURKEY AND SYRIA

During the night of Monday, 06.02.2023, an earthquake with the magnitude of 7.9 and other subsequent earthquakes shook several cities in Southeastern Turkey and Northern Syria such as Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Adana, Malatya, Osmaniye and many more. The current reports show that at least 10,000 people have died and more than 40,000 have been injured.

FIBA CP and many national as well as international companies who are active in Turkey are helping and supporting wherever they can. From blood donations to food delivery, transportation of clothes, delivery of radiators, and with many other measures we are all trying to alleviate the suffering of those who now must find refuge in the minus-degree weather.

Yurdaer Kahraman has stated: “The feedback I have received over the last two days from different friends, colleagues, as well as companies, shows great solidarity. Every little support is a big step for the people as well as for the rebuilding of the infrastructure in the long term.”
