Balfin Group’s East Gate Mall celebrates opening in Macedonian capital

On October 29, Balfin Group’s third shopping mall in the Western Balkans region, East Gate Mall, opened its doors to the public in Skopje.

During the inauguration ceremony, Samir Mane, President of Balfin Group, expressed his deep gratitude to all the participants in the process that enabled the realization of the investment. “We are opening the doors to one of the largest commercial spaces in the Balkans. We envisioned East Gate Mall to be the social and economic pole of the city of Skopje, a reference point for the citizens”, he said in his speech.

“East Gate Mall will be the shopping destination of the entire region. The brands and tenant mix we are offering is one of the most unique in the Balkans. East Gate Mall, with its design and quality, is currently the only fifth generation shopping center in the region,” said Arsim Papraniku, Board Member of Balfin Group, who has closely followed the realization of this project which is part of a €350 million investment by the company.

The mall is a multi-functional shopping center with modern architectural style and is ready to welcome about 12 million visitors a year by conveying the message “You’re the center”. It is located just five minutes from the city center and very close to the M4 highway, with 5 floors, a total area of about 160,000 sq m, a rental space of over 57,000 sq m and 2,000 parking spaces. A total of 220 stores offer a choice of over 600 brands, 40 of which are introduced for the first time in the country.

Among other brands, the shopping center houses the largest Zara store in the Balkans (Zara and Zara Home), as well as regional and international brands such as Reserved, Mohito, Sinsay, Cropp, House, Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, Kiko Milano, Pandora, Mango Man-Woman-Kids, Patrizia Pepe, XYZ, Valentino, and many more.
