Horizn Studios starts European expansion in Hamburg

The first flagship store in Hamburg is located at Hohe Bleichen 11 and reflects what the brand wants to convey: a glimpse into the future of travel.

Europe’s first DTC luggage brand continues to focus on “online-first”. To give customers a feeling for the products, the company also plans to open more stores in the future, such as the one in Hamburg with an integrated repair desk and a Horizn ID station for personalizing luggage. In an area of 170 sq mg, great emphasis was placed on innovation, design and, above all, recyclable materials. Most of the furnishings are made from 100% recyclable materials; the floor, for example, is made from biopolymers and natural pebbles, which are completely recyclable and leave no residue. Furniture made of undyed wool and matt aluminum form harmonious contrasts to the bright interior. The interior of the store features curved levels that create presentation areas and places to linger.

Horizn Studios began designing new travel companions with features for future generations back in 2015. In 2016, the world’s first piece of luggage with a detachable charging function was launched on the market. Optional GPS tracking followed in 2017 and a personal travel assistant in 2018. In 2019, the world’s first space luggage concept was presented in collaboration with astronaut Alyssa Carson. In addition to an international creative and passionate team, Horizn Studios also draws strength from collaborations with Beats by Dre, BMW, Soho House, Design Hotels and Habitas, among others. A DJ case was also created in collaboration with the well-known DJ and producer Seth Troxler. Creative Director Paul Kominek, who also headed up the store design concept, is responsible for the brand’s development.

The brand is based in the heart of Berlin, where there is also a store.
