The Slovak National Theater has been a direct “neighbor” to Eurovea since its opening. Collaborations have been going on for a long time but this year, the end of the 101st season, was different for the first time. This special evening for all culture lovers happened on 3 stages in two connected squares. Opera and ballet performances were held on Jun 26, 2021 in Bratislava’s much-loved Eurovea Square, and drama performances were moved to a neighboring theater square. Special scenes, big outdoor stages, and a lot of professional artists made this evening a very unique event for all.
A selection from the best classical repertoires under the sky – Prokofiev, Dvorak, Massenet – made the experience of this concert unforgettable.
The Slovak National Theatre, one of the country’s most important cultural institutions, was established in 1920. The new building was opened in April 2007. Nowadays, it comprises drama, opera, and ballet sections, each with its permanent professional company.
Eurovea is a mixed-use-development and part of a modern urban quarter in the vicinity of Bratislava’s historical center. Eurovea’s broader approach to living, working, and shopping comes together in a dynamic shopping destination with riverside promenade. It was opened in March 2010.
