The Boulevard is delighted to announce the arrival of global footwear brand, Skechers. The new store will open on August 2, joining the growing portfolio of new brands at Northern Ireland’s premier outlet shopping centre, including the recently reported Adidas, Asics and Kurt Geiger.

Skechers is an internationally recognised brand with high profile celebrity advertising campaigns including Camila Cabello, Kelly Brook and golfer Colin Montgomerie. In recent years the brand has extended its footwear range to include both lifestyle and performance styles, ensuring its appeal to a wide demographic. The new outlet store at The Boulevard will stock a wide range of men’s, women’s and children’s footwear. Skechers, a global leader in the lifestyle footwear industry, signed a retail licensing agreement with footwear retailer Shuz 4 U Group in 2010 to open and operate SKECHERS branded retail stores throughout Ireland, with Banbridge set to be the 18th store the company will open.

This announcement strengthens The Boulevard’s position as Northern Ireland’s premier outlet shopping centre. The new 229 square metre Skechers store represents a total investment of £250,000 by Skechers and, alongside the recently opened Clarks Shoes and Kurt Geiger outlet stores, it gives The Boulevard an exceptional outlet footwear offering.

Chris Nelmes, The Boulevard’s centre manager, commented “We are delighted that Skechers has chosen The Boulevard for its latest store opening and it is an exciting addition to the retail mix. Now is a great time to visit The Boulevard with our £7 million rebrand underway and a run of new store openings. We have seen a 25% year on year increase in turnover and we hope this will continue with Skechers attracting new customers.”

Skechers Ireland Area Manager, Aleksandra Prokopowicz said “We are joining The Boulevard at an exciting time. The retail mix at the centre is a perfect complement to the Skechers range and we look forward to welcoming customers to our new store in August.”

Alastair Coulson, Managing Director for Lotus Property said: “Skechers are a great addition to the range of top brands available at The Boulevard and we’re proud to be the centre of choice for Skechers’ first ever Outlet in Ireland. We are delighted with The Boulevard’s success over the last 18 months, which is proven by the confidence top brands have and our increase in repeat customer visits.”
