“The number of registrations is quite good and is undoubtedly attributable to the increased number of exhibitors and visitors who attended the fair in 2019,” explains Eva Olbrich, Head of Christmasworld, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. Last year, more than 45,000 trade visitors from 123 countries attended the fair, which represented an increase of four percent compared to the previous year. The number of exhibitors also increased by 3.5 percent to 1,085 exhibitors from 44 countries.
The new trade fair concept that was successfully launched in 2019 in Halls 8, 9, 11, and 12 will remain in place in 2020 and will feature minor adjustments and improvements. Once again, the objectives of the fair will be to provide maximum inspiration and to ensure efficient ordering.
“Christmasworld 2020 aims to establish itself as an indispensable business and order platform for top international decision-makers from the wholesale, export, and retail sectors. Accordingly, the new motto is “Coming Home for Business”. Unlike any other consumer-goods fair organized by Messe Frankfurt, it plays off the success factor of experience at the point of sale. Christmas is, simultaneously, the time of year with the highest turnover and the most emotional time of the year. Due to its range of Christmas and seasonal decorations, Christmasworld is ideally suited for the realm of staging,” adds Olbrich. As a result, the supporting program provides fresh ideas regarding assortment design, thereby prompting customers in the brick-and-mortar trade to explore and make purchases.
