BEHIND THE MASTERCLASS
This ACROSS Academy Executive Masterclass will focus on one of the core disciplines of retail real estate: leasing strategy and execution.
The session will be led by Klaus Striebich, Managing Director of RaRE Advise and Head of the ACROSS Advisory Board, who brings decades of experience in retail, asset management and leasing across European markets.
The one-day masterclass is designed as a compact, practice-oriented format combining strategic input, real-world examples and interactive discussion.
The morning session introduces key principles of leasing in today’s retail environment, including the role of leasing philosophy, the importance of understanding retail concepts and the strategic interface between leasing and marketing. Drawing on international experience, the session will address both best practices and common pitfalls, supported by case examples and open discussion.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to application. Participants will work on a use-case format, developing leasing ideas for a retail asset and translating strategic considerations into practical approaches. The program may also include a short study visit to a nearby retail destination, providing additional real-world context.
The masterclass is designed for professionals involved in leasing, asset management and the strategic positioning of retail destinations who are looking to refine their approach and exchange perspectives with peers.

ABOUT KLAUS STRIEBICH & RaRE ADVISE
Klaus Striebich
Klaus Striebich is Managing Director of RaRE Advise and Head of the ACROSS Advisory Board. He is one of Europe’s most experienced retail real estate professionals, with more than three decades of experience in leasing, asset management and retail development.
He spent over 25 years at ECE Projektmanagement, where he served as Managing Director Leasing and was responsible for leasing strategy across a large international portfolio of shopping centers.
Since 2018, he has been advising companies across the retail and real estate industry as an independent consultant. In addition, he holds several advisory and supervisory board positions and is a former Chairman of the German Council of Shopping Places.
RaRE Advise
RaRE Advise (Retail and Real Estate) is an independent consultancy specializing in strategic advisory, leasing, asset optimization and organizational development within the retail real estate sector.
The firm supports developers, operators and investors with concept development, project management, leasing strategy and the optimization of existing assets. In addition, RaRE Advise provides workshops, training and coaching formats aimed at strengthening teams and enabling forward-looking decision-making.
