This year’s motto is “Rethinking Retail, Shopping Malls, & Marketplaces”. Vacancies have increasingly begun to characterize the image of downtown areas and shopping centers. The use of space in retail properties and shopping centers has to be questioned and new usage concepts need to be developed and put into practice.
Simply shopping is a thing of the past. Nowadays, visitors who frequent malls and downtown areas seek positive experiences, combined with entertainment and service offerings. The Swiss Council Congress, which is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2020 at the Hotel Metropol in Zurich, will address these issues.
