The grand opening of one of the largest retail properties in Russia–Grozny Mall Shopping and Leisure Center (GLA=54,670 sq m), lying in the heart of the Chechen Republic’s capital city on V. Putin Avenue–has taken place.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Nicole Maarsen, consultant and co-founder of Home.Earth, as chair of ULI Netherlands. She succeeds Bob van der Zande, urban strategist at Balthasar & Partners, and will officially begin her voluntary two-year term on 1 October 2021.

Following its renovation and extension, from 1 October 2021, the flagship store of Bründl Sports in Kaprun presents itself as an ultra-modern architectural jewel against the backdrop of the Salzburg mountains.

Landsec has announced the entrance of two new retailers at Westgate, the approximately 74,320 sq m retail and leisure destination in Oxford City Centre. Japanese-inspired brand, Miniso, and world-renowned British toy emporium, Hamleys, have both launched at the destination.

The first retail park launched by Scallier in Romania is a 6,200 sqm (GLA) project, housing an array of recognized Romanian and international brands, notwithstanding some Polish ones. The opening of another retail park is planned for later this year.

The newest of the five Slovenian centers owned by developer and operator SES Spar European Shopping Centers received the “Global RLI Award” in the “International Shopping Center–New Build” category in London on 23 September 2021.
